1. Post Valuable Content.

Publishing high-quality content regularly boosts your visibility on LinkedIn -effectively increasing engagement. With more people visiting your page, you will also increase your followers. This happens in three simple steps. First, keep your audience interested with regularly updated information so they check back often for new content. Second, when your followers share your content or comment on it, their connections will see the activity in their feed. This increases visibility to potential followers. The final step is to share your content with as many relevant groups as possible.

2. Add LinkedIn “Follow” Button to Your Website.

Adding A LinkedIn “Follow” button on your website and blog will make it easy for people to follow you on LinkedIn. Preferably add this follow button at the footer of your website which will repeat all the pages of your website. Not recommended to add at the top of the page script as it will effect loading speed.

3. Create a LinkedIn Group.

LinkedIn groups are a great way to share your company’s content with a wider audience. Posting to LinkedIn Groups is easy. Simply click the share button on your content and select post to groups. See screenshot below. Many group members elect to have updates sent directly to their inbox; this is a fantastic way to get exposure and boost the number of followers for your company.

4. Use the Email List.

The easiest part in making connections is putting to use the email address book for harnessing a few thousand email addresses. Connecting to those known people is easy and quick. Even if their audiences are moderate, and not too relevant to the focus they are still the best place to get started.

5. Grow Your Network.

Just like any other social media channel, networking is the name of the game for succeeding on LinkedIn. You need to begin by connecting with people from your industry - but before you start sending InMails and connection requests haphazardly, don’t forget to also:

  • Create a powerful profile - it'll serve as your elevator pitch

  • Highlight your achievements - create a great first impression

These two, simple elements can do your LinkedIn presents a world of good.

6. Promote Your Page on Other Social Media Channels.

Remember to share your company page on TwitterInstagramFacebook, etc.  You need to tell people that the content you are providing on your LinkedIn company page is a bit different to the other channels otherwise why would they follow.  Is your content on your LinkedIn company page any different to your Twitter & Facebook content?  It should be.  Please do not just circulate the same content to all of your platforms.  LinkedIn is a little more “professional”, so perhaps gear the content around the latest news and trends in your industry.

7. Engage Your Employee.

A decent amount of followers not only increases your “views” potential but also creates a positive image and representation of your company. First of all, ask your employees to join LinkedIn (if they have not already done so) and encourage them to specify their current workplace. Once they are listed as employees of your firm, they will automatically start following you. And if you have the fortune to have employees who are active in group discussions on LinkedIn, they can benefit you by getting more eyes on your content and creating valuable audiences for your business.

8. Add Company Page Link to Your Email Signature.

If you have the ability to tailor your email signature you can add the LinkedIn icon to your email signature which can then direct people to your company page. For my email signature, I direct people to my LinkedIn Profile and my Company Page with two separate icons.
