Your PR firm can help you with them, but your engagement is like no other.

1. Enhance the Visibility of Your Company Profile.

2. Set Monthly Growth Goals.

3. Add a “Follow” Button to Your Website.

4. Post Regular Content to Your Page.

5. Engage with Existing Followers.

6. Follow Other Companies.

7. Cross-Promote on Your Other Social Media Pages.

8. Write a Blog Post About It.

1. Enhance the Visibility of Your Company Profile.

A company page is like a mini-website for your business, but as it is located on LinkedIn, it must be easier for LinkedIn members to find it. What should you know before starting filling out your profile?

Linkedin is a business-oriented search engine. With that said, it works almost the same way as Google, Yahoo, or Bing. That is why you will need to include relevant keywords in your description and your posts. Try to use the target keyword phrases in the first two paragraphs of your description but don’t overuse them too often — it’s just useless. And don’t forget to explore the profiles of your competitors and colleagues to analyze the content and keywords they use. To achieve better visibility in search, add up to 20 specialties in the “Specialties” section. This, as a part of LinkedIn marketing, would also contribute to finding your page by customers.

2. Set Monthly Growth Goals.

Getting from 100 connections to 500+ seems like an impossible feat. However, if you divide that number over many weeks or months, it doesn’t seem so insurmountable. For example, instead of setting a goal of going from 100 connections to 500+, try setting your goal to 175 connections within two weeks; then repeat. Remember, the key to setting goals is to make them realistic.

Exercise some caution, however. It’s still important to maintain proper LinkedIn etiquette and refrain from spamming people you don’t know. Quality matters more than quantity.

3. Add a “Follow” Button to Your Website.

Adding A LinkedIn “Follow” button on your website and blog will make it easy for people to follow you on LinkedIn. Preferably add this follow button at the footer of your website which will repeat all the pages of your website. Not recommended to add at the top of the page script as it will effect loading speed.

4. Post Regular Content to Your Page.

Sharing regular and relevant content provides an opportunity for you to connect with and expand your LinkedIn audience. When your page followers engage with your content it increases your visibility. Aim to post once per week, once per month as a minimum.

5. Engage with Existing Followers.

Engage with existing followers when they comment on your updates. Comment back or ask a question that might enhance the discussion further amplifying the engagement and therefore your exposure. Any opportunity to engage with your audience is an opportunity to reach more people and solidify your connections.

6. Follow Other Companies.

Social platforms like Twitter allow you to follow companies or industries that are relevant to your industry. In turn, they follow you back. The same for LinkedIn; search for companies of similar industries as your own and follow them. When you show them interest by sharing their updates, they might follow you back.

7. Cross-Promote on Your Other Social Media Pages.

There’s no harm in asking your Facebook Fans or Twitter Followers to follow you on LinkedIn. Give them the link, add an enticing call-to-action and you’re done!

8. Write a Blog Post About It.

Announce the launch of your company page with a celebratory blog post. Enrich your post with keywords that resonate with your target audience, so potential customers searching the Internet might come across it and want to connect with you. Make sure to share the post through your other social media channels to encourage your followers there to find you on LinkedIn as well.
