What is the best time to post on Instagram and TikTok?
There is no single best time for everyone. Lunchtime and early evening in your audience's time zone are sensible first guesses for many accounts, but the right answer is when your own followers are active. Use these windows as a starting point and test them.
Why should I pick my audience's time zone?
People see posts when they are awake and scrolling in their own time zone. If most of your followers live somewhere else, post for their clock, not yours. The planner converts every window to your local time so you know when to hit publish.
How do I run the two-week test?
Post at the suggested times, rotating between three windows, and note each post's views or reach after 24 hours. After two weeks, compare the averages per window and keep the one that wins. Download the CSV to track it in a spreadsheet.
Where can I see when my followers are online?
On Instagram, open Insights from a professional account and look at Total followers, then Most active times. On TikTok, open Analytics in your creator tools and check Followers activity. Both need a business or creator account.
Does posting time really matter?
It matters most in the first hour, when early likes, comments and watch time help a post get shown to more people. A great post at an average time still beats a weak post at the perfect time, so focus on content first.
